Ileana Acosta is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, addiction, and identity-related challenges. Originally from El Paso, TX, she brings a deep appreciation for cultural identity and community into her clinical work. Drawing from her cultural background, she has extensive experience supporting immigrants, children of immigrants, and individuals impacted by intergenerational trauma. She understands the complex layers of cultural identity, family dynamics, and systemic stressors that can shape a person’s emotional well-being.
She utilizes an integrative and individualized approach, drawing from Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused therapies, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and compassionate, grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by extensive research experience. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from St. Thomas University.
