Claudia Boye is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a strong foundation in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and advocacy. With a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, she has extensive experience working in inpatient and residential mental health settings, supporting both adolescents and adults through acute mental health crises. She has worked in crisis stabilization units for children and adults, providing immediate interventions to stabilize individuals in distress. Her background includes leading group therapy on anger management, emotional regulation, and coping strategies, helping clients develop healthier ways to process emotions and navigate challenges.
Claudia utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify strengths and develop effective coping strategies. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, particularly in emotional regulation and distress tolerance, as well as Trauma Informed Care to support individuals who have experienced adversity.
Above all, Claudia strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported, working collaboratively to empower them in their healing journey. Fluent in Spanish and experienced in working with diverse populations, she is dedicated to making mental health care accessible, effective, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
