Andrea Velasquez

Andrea Velasquez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida, building on a strong educational foundation and hands-on experience in the field. Andrea earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. Her journey in mental health began as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she worked with children with autism, gaining valuable insights into developmental and behavioral challenges.

During Andrea's practicum at a community health agency, she had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, facing issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Collaborating with other mental health professionals, she expanded her knowledge of evidence-based practices, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.

These experiences have been instrumental in honing her clinical skills and have deepened her commitment to providing compassionate, effective mental health care. Andrea is dedicated to supporting her clients on their journey to healing and well-being, using a personalized approach that meets their unique needs.
