Sonya Wright, LMHC, Q.S.

Sonya is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a state of Florida Qualified Supervisor with a career spanning more than 35 years across diverse areas of person-centered care, including counselor education, substance abuse prevention and treatment, HIV prevention and treatment, and mental health services. She has served as a case manager and supervisor, a Ryan White Program mental health provider for Miami-Dade County, and faculty with the University of Miami’s Comprehensive AIDS Program. In addition to her community and academic contributions, she holds leadership roles in private practice settings. Sonya is currently completing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, with her dissertation in progress.
